for drain, L. porca ridge between two furrows.]
1. A trench in the earth made by, or as by, a plow.
2. Any trench, channel, or groove, as in wood or metal; a
wrinkle on the face; as, the furrows of age.
Farrow weed a weed which grows on plowed land. --Shak.
To draw a straight furrow, to live correctly; not to
deviate from the right line of duty. --Lowell.
